Eye care in Erbil since 2007.
Basir Medical Center has been dedicated to eye care since it opened in Erbil in 2007.
The name Basir comes from the Arabic root for sight and perception, the same root that gives us basar, vision, and basira, insight. It reflects what we have worked toward since we opened: clear sight for our patients, and careful judgment in how we care for them.
Basir Medical Center began its work in Erbil, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, in 2007, and has been dedicated to eye care ever since.
Every patient is seen by one of our two specialists: Dr. Hashim Ahmed Hasan, fellowship-trained in vitreoretinal surgery, and Dr. Mohammed Yavari, fellowship-trained in corneal surgery.
